Boeing 737-8Z0, one of the oldest aircraft in SkyUp Airlines' fleet, flies for the Ukrainian charter and low-cost carrier registered UR-SQG. Since Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, SkyUp has adapted by leasing aircraft internationally and operating scheduled flights from alternate bases including Chisinau, Moldova, and Polish airports, while its subsidiary SkyUp Europe conducts ACMI operations from Malta. As one of the carrier's veteran narrowbody jets, UR-SQG has continued flying for SkyUp and international partner airlines, reflecting the airline's resilience and adaptation strategy amid the ongoing closure of Ukrainian airspace to commercial aviation. Designed as a smaller, short-ranged alternative to the Boeing 707 and 727, the 737 was first flown on April 9th, 1967.
