Airbus A350-900, serial number 235, was the last of six A350-900s Hong Kong Airlines added to its fleet between 2017 and 2018. Registered B-LGE, the aircraft stopped flying revenue routes in October 2019 as the carrier scaled back its A350 operations amid financial pressure. After years in storage at Alice Springs, Australia, it was returned to lessor ALAFCO in August 2023, ferried from Hong Kong to Tarbes, France. As the final A350 to leave Hong Kong Airlines, its departure closed out the type's brief tenure with the carrier, whose widebody fleet has since consisted mainly of A330s.
