Airbus A220-300, serial number 55038, wore the test registration C-FPDR before delivery to airBaltic, becoming part of the Latvian carrier's rapidly expanding all-A220 fleet around May 2022. Registered YL-CSJ, the aircraft joined airBaltic's push toward operating 50 A220-300s, cementing the airline's position as the type's largest global operator. It has since flown widely across airBaltic's European network, with sightings at hubs including Manchester, Helsinki, and Brussels, as well as transatlantic positioning to Boston. The A220 family, originally developed by Bombardier as the CSeries, became airBaltic's sole aircraft type following its full fleet transition.
