Embraer 175 STD, serial number 17000336, joined Flybe's fleet in 2012 as G-FBJE, serving the British regional carrier's short-haul European network for eight years. Registered under a designation combining E170 and E175 nomenclature common to early-generation Embraer regional jets, it operated from Flybe hubs including Birmingham and Manchester. Flybe, then Europe's largest regional airline, used aircraft like this to connect secondary UK cities with continental destinations. After Flybe's operations wound down in 2020, the jet moved overseas, eventually reregistered as PS-CAV for Brazil's Federal Police, giving the regional workhorse an unexpected second career in law enforcement.
Designed as a medium-range, narrow-body, twin-jet, the Embraer ERJ 170 launched Embraer's "E-Jet" series and was first flown on February 19th, 2002. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
