Boeing 777-31H/ER, serial number 32707, line number 539, operated by Royal Flight Airlines as VP-BGK. The aircraft was originally delivered new to Emirates in March 2005 as A6-EBB, becoming one of the airline's early 777-300ERs. After more than a decade of Emirates service, it was withdrawn and subsequently acquired by Russian leisure carrier Royal Flight, entering service as VP-BGK in 2018. The aircraft was primarily used on high-capacity charter flights from Russia to vacation destinations including Turkey, Thailand and Vietnam. Following international sanctions and major changes to Russian airline operations in 2022, VP-BGK was withdrawn and stored at Tarbes, France, where it was photographed in June 2022. Designed as a wide-bodied, twin-engined airliner to compete with the Airbus A330/A340 and the McDonnell Douglas MD-11, the 777 was first flown on June 12th, 1994. A pair of the world's largest diameter turbofan engines power the aircraft which currently holds the record for world's largest twin-engined airliner. The 777 was Boeing's first fly-by-wire airliner, featuring complete glass cockpit displays and flight envelope protection. Standard varients have a range of 4,200 nautical miles while Extended Range (ER) variants can fly for 6,600 nautical miles and the Longer Range (LR) variant is the world's longest range airliner capable of flying 7,800 nautical miles. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
