McDonnell Douglas MD-90-30, serial number 53460, line number 2142, operated by SAS Scandinavian Airlines as OY-KIM and named "Jon Viking." Delivered new to SAS in December 1996, it was one of the relatively small number of MD-90s operated by the Scandinavian carrier. OY-KIM remained in SAS service until November 2005 before being leased to Swiss carrier Hello as HB-JID in 2006, including operations for Iceland Express. In 2011 it transferred to Delta Air Lines as N935DN, joining Delta's unusually large secondhand MD-90 fleet. It was withdrawn in 2020 as Delta retired the type and was subsequently scrapped at Blytheville, Arkansas.
Designed as a stretched and more powerful MD-80, the MD-90 was first flown on February 22nd, 1993. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
