The Royal Canadian Air Force is introducing the Airbus A330 Multi Role Tanker Transport as the CC-330 Husky, replacing the aging CC-150 Polaris fleet. Operated by 437 Transport Squadron at CFB Trenton, the CC-330 will provide Canada with aerial refueling, strategic transport, aeromedical evacuation, and government transportation capabilities. The tanker configuration can refuel compatible aircraft using both an aerial refueling boom and underwing hose-and-drogue pods. Based on the proven A330-200 airliner, the CC-330 offers greater range, fuel capacity, cargo space, and efficiency than the Polaris, significantly improving the RCAF's ability to support Canadian and allied operations worldwide.
