Boeing 737-7GJ BBJ, serial number 64970, line number 6845, operated by the Government of the Netherlands as PH-GOV. The aircraft made its first flight on March 5, 2018 as N513BJ before being ferried to Europe for completion. Fokker Technologies installed its VIP interior, while KLM was selected to provide crews and maintenance. PH-GOV entered government service in 2019, replacing Fokker 70 PH-KBX. Configured for approximately 26 passengers, the long-range BBJ transports the Dutch royal family, prime minister and government delegations. It remains active in 2026 and is capable of reaching the Netherlands' Caribbean territories without a fuel stop. Designed as a smaller, short-ranged alternative to the Boeing 707 and 727, the 737 was first flown on April 9th, 1967. Over its long operational carreer, the 737 has spawned numerous variants ranging in capacity from less than 100 to more than 200 seats. In fact, the 737 series is the best-selling jetliner in aviation history with more than 6,500 aircraft manufactured to date and more than 4,500 still in service with over 500 airlines around the world. Incredibly, there is a 737 taking off or landing somewhere in the world, on average, every five seconds. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
