Airbus A319-133X(CJ), serial number 3897, operated by the German Air Force as 15+01. Built in 2009 and initially carrying test registrations D-AVWO and D-AVWM, it also briefly used military test identity 98+46 before becoming 15+01. The aircraft serves with the Flugbereitschaft des Bundesministeriums der Verteidigung, Germany's government air transport unit, carrying the chancellor, president, ministers and official delegations. Its ACJ configuration provides considerably greater range and comfort than a standard airline A319. Based at Cologne/Bonn, 15+01 remains active in 2026 and has transported senior German leaders on diplomatic missions throughout Europe and beyond.
Designed as a shortened-fuselage version of the highly successful A320 design, the A319 was first flown on August 25th, 1995. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
