McDonnell Douglas MD-90-30, serial number 53367, operated by McDonnell Douglas as N901DC. Built in 1993, N901DC was the prototype MD-90 and served as the principal development and certification aircraft for the new V2500-powered derivative of the MD-80. Its flight-test work helped certify the MD-90's new engines, systems and longer fuselage before airline deliveries began in 1995. Unlike production aircraft, N901DC remained a McDonnell Douglas testbed and never entered normal airline passenger service. It was placed in storage at Kingman, Arizona on October 18, 1998 and remained there for several years before being broken up in 2006.

McDonnell Douglas MD-90

Designed as a stretched and more powerful MD-80, the MD-90 was first flown on February 22nd, 1993.
