Airbus A320-214, serial number 7238, operated by Condor as LZ-FBH. Delivered new to Interjet in 2016 as XA-CRM, the aircraft remained with the Mexican carrier until 2020 before joining Bulgaria Air as LZ-FBH in 2021. During 2024 it was leased to Condor to provide additional short- and medium-haul capacity, operating in Bulgaria Air's basic colors with Condor titles. Photographs document the aircraft operating for Condor from Frankfurt during September 2024. After completing the lease, LZ-FBH returned to Bulgaria Air and remains active in 2026, operating from Sofia to destinations throughout Europe and the Mediterranean. Designed as a short/medium range narrow-body airliner to compete with the Boeing 737, the Airbus A320 was first flown on February 22nd, 1987. The A320 features side stick controllers and glass cockpit and was the world's first airliner to use use a digital fly-by-wire control system. Controversially, the software includes "flight envelope protection" to prevent the pilot from exceeding safe flight parameters. The highly successful design rapidly led to the development of the shortened-fuselage A318 and A319, and lengthened-fuselage A321 derivatives.
