Tupolev Tu-154M, serial number 86A734, operated by China Northwest Airlines as B-2608. Delivered new to CAAC in August 1986, the Soviet-built trijet transferred to newly established China Northwest Airlines in 1988 and became a familiar sight at the carrier's Xi'an base. It served on domestic and regional passenger routes through the 1990s before being sold in 2000 and sent to Russia's VARZ-400 facility at Vnukovo for overhaul. The aircraft returned to service in 2002 with Dalavia as RA-85734. It was withdrawn at Khabarovsk after Dalavia ceased operations in 2008 and was eventually scrapped in 2014.
Designed as an enlarged version of the Tu-134 to replace the Il-18 and Tu-104, the Tu-154 was first flown on October 4th, 1968. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
