Boeing 727-264 Advanced, serial number 22409, line number 1676, operated by Mexicana as XA-MEH and named "Guerrero." Built in October 1980, the aircraft was delivered new to Mexicana on October 27 and became part of the airline's extensive 727 fleet. XA-MEH was particularly distinctive during the 1990s for its colorful tail featuring an Olinala lacquer-work design associated with the Mexican state of Guerrero. After nearly 24 years with Mexicana, it was sold to Bolivia's AeroSur in 2004 and became CP-2447. The aircraft continued passenger operations in South America, extending the service life of one of Mexicana's classic Boeing trijets well beyond its original Mexican career.

Boeing 727-200

Designed as a smaller, short/medium-ranged complement to the 707, the 727 was first flown on February 9th, 1963.
