Limited Edition

1:200 Scale   Length   Width
Boeing 727-200   9.25"   6.5"

Boeing 727-200 operated by Mexicana as XA-IEU. The aircraft formed part of Mexicana's extensive 727 fleet, which became one of the defining aircraft types of the airline from the 1960s through the 1990s. XA-IEU was employed primarily on domestic Mexican and international services linking Mexico City with destinations throughout North and Central America. The 727's strong runway performance made it particularly useful at Mexico City's high-altitude airport and at smaller destinations across the country. XA-IEU wore Mexicana's distinctive multicolored tail schemes during its career and remained part of the carrier's large trijet operation until newer Boeing 757s, Airbus A320s and Fokker 100s progressively replaced the type.

Boeing 727-200

Designed as a smaller, short/medium-ranged complement to the 707, the 727 was first flown on February 9th, 1963.
