Boeing 737 MAX 8, operated by Jet Airways as VT-JXB. Jet Airways used the aircraft as part of its scheduled passenger or freight network. The registration VT-JXB identifies the individual airframe within the fleet. The type was selected for its balance of capacity, range, and operating economics and was used where those characteristics best matched the carrier's route structure. Its service forms part of the airline's continuing fleet evolution as older aircraft were replaced or supplemented by newer designs with improved fuel efficiency, avionics, reliability, and passenger amenities. Designed as part of a co-operative effort by Germany, Italy and the UK to produce an air superiority fighter, the Eurofighter was first flown on March 27th, 1994. The Eurofighter is a single-seat, twin-engine, agile combat aircraft used in air-to-air, air-to-ground and tactical reconnaissance roles. It is intentionally aerodynamically unstable, which gives it its high levels of agility-but this means the Typhoon is controlled by a computerized "fly by wire" system instead of by its pilot.
