Airbus A380-800 carrying the French test registration F-WWSG while being prepared for Malaysia Airlines. The registration was used during Airbus production, acceptance, and customer flight testing before the aircraft received its permanent Malaysian identity. Malaysia Airlines ordered six Rolls-Royce Trent 900-powered A380s for high-capacity long-haul service, with the fleet becoming especially associated with Kuala Lumpur-London Heathrow. The F-WWSG appearance captures the aircraft during its short manufacturer phase, when it already wore Malaysia Airlines colors but remained under Airbus responsibility. These pre-delivery flights verified aircraft systems and performance before formal handover to the airline.
