Airbus A350-1000, operated by Etihad Airways as A6-XWB. Powered by higher-thrust Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-97 engines, the A350-1000 is the largest member of the A350 family. Etihad used the aircraft from Abu Dhabi during the airline's rapid long-haul expansion, with widebody types forming the backbone of services to Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, and North America. The airframe represents the period in which long-range twinjets increasingly replaced older three- and four-engine aircraft, offering airlines lower fuel burn and maintenance costs while retaining the range needed for nonstop international flying.
