Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, operated by Juneyao Airlines as B-20D1. The 787-9 uses extensive composite construction and new-generation engines to provide long range with lower fuel consumption than earlier widebodies. Juneyao Airlines employed the aircraft on important medium- and long-haul services within its international network. The airframe represents the period in which long-range twinjets increasingly replaced older three- and four-engine aircraft, offering airlines lower fuel burn and maintenance costs while retaining the range needed for nonstop international flying.
