Airbus A319, operated by Croatia Airlines as 9A-CTG. The aircraft belongs to a generation that played a major role in the expansion of its operator's network before newer, more fuel-efficient types arrived. Croatia Airlines used the type on scheduled passenger services where its capacity and range matched the carrier’s route structure. The aircraft's service reflects the transition from late twentieth-century jetliners to today's quieter and more economical fleets. Examples of this type frequently changed operators later in life, and many widebody and narrowbody airframes subsequently found second careers with charter, cargo, or overseas airlines.
