Boeing 757-200, operated by Shanghai Cargo as B-2808. The aircraft provided useful payload and range for scheduled and charter freight operations. It was employed on time-sensitive freight services linking major logistics centers and regional markets. The airframe's cargo career reflects the strong demand for reliable freighters capable of carrying express parcels, general merchandise, machinery, and other high-value shipments. Its operator used the aircraft as part of a wider freight network in which dependable overnight schedules and rapid loading were essential.
Designed as a narrow-bodied, twin-engined airliner to replace the 727, the 757 was first flown on February 19th, 1982. Developed in tandem with the wide-bodied 767 twinjet, both aircraft share a common digital cockpit layout and are operated by a two man flight crew. Thanks to a proven reliability track-record, the 757 is approved for extended twin engine operations (ETOPS) making it a popular choice for airlines flying transatlantic routes.
