Boeing 737-3B7, construction number 22952, line number 1015, registered N352AU. First flown on May 4, 1984, the aircraft was the second 737-300 prototype and was used by Boeing as a demonstrator, including an appearance at the 1984 Farnborough Air Show. It was delivered to USAir in April 1985 and later re-registered N373US in November 1988, continuing with USAir and then US Airways. After retirement from U.S. service, it went to Indonesia in 2006 and flew with Batavia Air as PK-YVY. The aircraft later became an instructional airframe, giving this early 737 Classic an unusually varied career.

Boeing 737-300

Designed as a smaller, short-ranged alternative to the Boeing 707 and 727, the 737 was first flown on April 9th, 1967. Over its long operational carreer, the 737 has spawned numerous variants ranging in capacity from less than 100 to more than 200 seats. In fact, the 737 series is the best-selling jetliner in aviation history with more than 6,500 aircraft manufactured to date and more than 4,500 still in service with over 500 airlines around the world. Incredibly, there is a 737 taking off or landing somewhere in the world, on average, every five seconds.
