Boeing 777-31H, serial number 29396, line number 402, operated by Cathay Pacific as B-HNS. Built in 2002, the aircraft was originally delivered to Emirates as A6-EMR in May 2002. After nearly 16 years with Emirates, it was withdrawn in March 2018 and subsequently acquired by Cathay Pacific, arriving in Hong Kong as B-HNS in September 2018 and entering service on September 18. It was stored at Hong Kong and later Alice Springs during the pandemic, returning to service in July 2022. Powered by Rolls-Royce Trent 892 engines, B-HNS remains active in 2026 on Cathay's Asian regional network.

Boeing 777-300

Designed as a wide-bodied, twin-engined airliner to compete with the Airbus A330/A340 and the McDonnell Douglas MD-11, the 777 was first flown on June 12th, 1994. A pair of the world's largest diameter turbofan engines power the aircraft which currently holds the record for world's largest twin-engined airliner. The 777 was Boeing's first fly-by-wire airliner, featuring complete glass cockpit displays and flight envelope protection. Standard varients have a range of 4,200 nautical miles while Extended Range (ER) variants can fly for 6,600 nautical miles and the Longer Range (LR) variant is the world's longest range airliner capable of flying 7,800 nautical miles.
