Boeing 757-200, operated by Far Eastern Air Transport as B-27015. The aircraft served short and medium-haul passenger routes and provided a practical balance of capacity, range, and operating performance. Far Eastern Air Transport used the type to connect major cities with regional destinations while supporting frequent scheduled services. Its efficient size and dependable operation made it useful across a broad range of markets. The aircraft represents the continuing evolution of commercial aviation, with newer generations bringing improvements in engines, avionics, fuel efficiency, noise, and passenger comfort while retaining the flexibility required for intensive daily airline operations.
Designed as a narrow-bodied, twin-engined airliner to replace the 727, the 757 was first flown on February 19th, 1982. Developed in tandem with the wide-bodied 767 twinjet, both aircraft share a common digital cockpit layout and are operated by a two man flight crew. Thanks to a proven reliability track-record, the 757 is approved for extended twin engine operations (ETOPS) making it a popular choice for airlines flying transatlantic routes.
