US Marine Corps C-40A Clipper 170041, construction number 30184, serves with VMR-1 "Roadrunners" at NAS JRB Fort Worth, Texas. The aircraft was originally delivered to Saudi Aramco Aviation in 2001 as N743A before being acquired and converted for Marine Corps service. Based on the Boeing 737-700, the C-40A provides worldwide transportation of personnel, cargo, and high priority equipment. Its flexible cabin can accommodate passengers, palletized cargo, or a combination of both. Aircraft 170041 became the first C-40A operated by the Marine Corps, providing VMR-1 with improved range, capacity, reliability, and logistical flexibility.
