Douglas DC-8-63, operated by Aeromexico as N4865T. The aircraft served during an important era in commercial aviation, when airlines were rapidly expanding jet service and replacing older piston and turboprop equipment. Aeromexico used aircraft such as N4865T on scheduled passenger routes where the type's speed, capacity, and range matched contemporary traffic requirements.
