N528ZC is a Boeing 787-10 built as one of Boeing's dedicated test and certification aircraft for the stretched Dreamliner variant. First flown in 2018, it was used extensively during the 787-10's flight-test campaign, evaluating performance, systems reliability, and extended operations (ETOPS) standards. Wearing Boeing's distinctive blue-and-white house livery, the aircraft appeared at airshows and customer events to showcase the model's improved capacity, efficiency, and composite airframe technology. As a test platform, N528ZC was equipped with extensive monitoring equipment and ballast tanks. After completing its role in development, it remained with Boeing for continued evaluation and demonstration duties.
Designed as a mid-sized, wide-body airliner and constructed out of mostly composite material, the 787 was first flown on December 15th, 2009. © Copyright 2003-2025 The Flying Mule, Inc.
