Boeing 747-100, operated by American Airlines as N9666. The widebody served medium and long-haul routes, providing substantial passenger capacity, useful belly-cargo volume, and the range required for major international services. American Airlines used aircraft such as N9666 to connect important hubs and destinations across its network.
