Boeing 737 MAX 9, operated by Icelandair as TF-ICC. The aircraft joined Icelandair's new-generation narrowbody fleet and operates services from Reykjavik Keflavik to destinations throughout Europe and North America. Powered by two CFM International LEAP-1B engines, the 737 MAX 9 provides improved fuel efficiency, lower emissions, and greater range compared with Icelandair's earlier 757s and 737s. TF-ICC is particularly well suited to Icelandair's connecting network, linking European cities with destinations across the United States and Canada through Iceland. The aircraft remains active in 2026, including services to London, Chicago, Manchester, and Raleigh-Durham. The Boeing 737 MAX is an American narrow-body aircraft series being developed by Boeing Commercial Airplanes as the fourth generation of the Boeing 737, succeeding the Boeing 737 Next Generation. The first flight was on January 29, 2016. The 737 MAX is based on earlier 737 designs but re-engined with more efficient CFM International LEAP-1B along with aerodynamic improvements, most notably split-tip winglets, and airframe modifications.
