Boeing 737-9 MAX, serial number 44189, entered service with Copa Airlines as HP-9927CMP. Delivered in November 2023, the aircraft joined Copa's modern narrowbody fleet and operates international services from Panama City throughout North, Central, and South America and the Caribbean. Configured with Business Class, Economy Extra, and Economy seating, the aircraft is powered by two CFM International LEAP-1B engines. HP-9927CMP is especially distinctive for wearing the colorful "Panama Live for More" special livery promoting Panama as an international tourism destination. The Boeing 737 MAX is an American narrow-body aircraft series being developed by Boeing Commercial Airplanes as the fourth generation of the Boeing 737, succeeding the Boeing 737 Next Generation. The first flight was on January 29, 2016.
