Boeing 727-100, operated by CP Air as CF-CUR. The aircraft served during an important period in the development of commercial jet travel, when airlines were rapidly expanding route networks and replacing older equipment with faster, higher-capacity aircraft. CP Air used the type on passenger services where its combination of performance, capacity, and range matched contemporary traffic requirements. CF-CUR represents a generation of classic airliners that became familiar sights at major airports and helped establish modern scheduled airline service. Although later designs offered lower fuel consumption and improved technology, these aircraft earned lasting reputations for durability and dependable operation.
Designed as a smaller, short/medium-ranged complement to the 707, the 727 was first flown on February 9th, 1963. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
