Boeing 727-100 Diecast Model
Braniff International Airways, N7282

Limited Edition

1:200 Scale   Length   Width
Boeing 727-100   8"   6.5"

Boeing 727-162, serial number 19243, entered service with Braniff International Airways as N7282 in May 1966. Originally ordered by Pacific Northern Airlines but not taken up, the aircraft became the first Boeing 727 of any variant delivered to Braniff. Unlike most of Braniff's early 727s, N7282 was a standard passenger aircraft rather than a Quick Change model. It was delivered in Alexander Girard's vivid orange "Jellybean" scheme and became one of the most recognizable aircraft of Braniff's colorful era. Powered by three Pratt & Whitney JT8D engines, N7282 served Braniff until 1977, when it joined TransBrasil as PT-TYN.

Boeing 727-100

Designed as a smaller, short/medium-ranged complement to the 707, the 727 was first flown on February 9th, 1963.
