Airbus A350-941, serial number 377, operated by Iberia as EC-NIG and named "Hola Madrid." Delivered in 2020, the aircraft joined Iberia's growing A350 fleet as the Spanish flag carrier replaced older Airbus A340-600s on long-haul services. Powered by Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines, EC-NIG operates from Madrid-Barajas on major intercontinental routes, particularly services to North and South America. The A350's composite-intensive structure, advanced aerodynamics, and efficient engines provide substantially lower fuel consumption than Iberia's former four-engine A340s. EC-NIG became part of the fleet central to Iberia's modernization and expansion of its Madrid long-haul hub.
