Airbus A321-231, operated by Wizz Air as HA-LGI. The aircraft belongs to Wizz Air's original-generation A321ceo fleet, introduced as the rapidly growing Hungarian low-cost carrier sought greater capacity than its A320s could provide. Powered by International Aero Engines V2500 turbofans, the A321 allowed Wizz Air to increase seats on busy routes while retaining Airbus family commonality. HA-LGI has operated extensively across the airline's European network and to destinations in the Middle East and surrounding regions. Aircraft such as HA-LGI helped establish the A321 as Wizz Air's preferred high-capacity narrowbody before the carrier transitioned toward the newer A321neo.
