Airbus A321XLR, operated by Qantas Airways as VH-OGG. The aircraft is part of Qantas' Project Winton fleet-renewal program, under which A321XLRs are replacing aging Boeing 737-800s on domestic and short- to medium-haul international routes. The XLR combines the A321neo's efficient engines and modern systems with additional fuel capacity for significantly increased range. Qantas configured the type with a more spacious cabin than its 737s while gaining additional seats and substantially greater cargo capacity. VH-OGG belongs to the new generation of Airbus narrowbodies intended to form the backbone of Qantas mainline short-haul operations for decades.
Designed as a lengthened-fuselage version of the highly successful A320 design, the A321 was first flown on March 11th, 1993. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
