Airbus A321, operated by Icelandair as TF-IAB. The aircraft served short and medium-haul passenger routes and provided a practical balance of capacity, range, and operating performance. Icelandair used aircraft such as TF-IAB to connect major cities with regional destinations while supporting frequent scheduled services. The type became part of the continuing evolution of narrowbody airline operations, offering the reliability and flexibility required for intensive daily use. Over time, newer aircraft introduced improved engines, avionics, fuel efficiency, and passenger amenities, but examples such as TF-IAB remain representative of the equipment that helped build and sustain the carrier's route network.
Designed as a lengthened-fuselage version of the highly successful A320 design, the A321 was first flown on March 11th, 1993. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
