Airbus A310-325ET, serial number 636, operated by TAROM as YR-LCA and named "Transilvania." Delivered new in December 1992, YR-LCA was one of three A310s acquired to modernize TAROM's long-haul fleet after the end of Romania's communist era. Powered by Pratt & Whitney PW4152 engines, it operated international services from Bucharest, including long-haul routes to North America and Asia. The aircraft later became especially notable for carrying Romanian presidents and government delegations on official trips. TAROM withdrew YR-LCA from regular operation in 2016, ending more than two decades of A310 service with the Romanian flag carrier.
Designed as a smaller version of the original A300, the A310 was first flown on April 3rd, 1982. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
