Boeing 747-8F, operated by AirBridgeCargo as VP-BBY. The aircraft joined the Russian cargo carrier's fleet as part of its transition to the new-generation 747-8 Freighter for intercontinental freight services linking Europe, Asia, and North America through Moscow. Powered by four General Electric GEnx-2B engines, the 747-8F offers increased payload, improved fuel efficiency, reduced emissions, and 16 percent greater cargo volume than the 747-400F. Its distinctive opening nose permits efficient loading of exceptionally long and oversized cargo. VP-BBY became part of one of the world's largest fleets of Boeing 747 freighters and supported AirBridgeCargo's global heavy-freight network.
