Boeing 747-8HVF, serial number 37581, entered service with AirBridgeCargo as VQ-BLQ. The aircraft joined the Russian carrier's modern heavy freighter fleet for intercontinental cargo services linking major logistics centers across Europe, Asia, and North America. Powered by four General Electric GEnx-2B engines, the 747-8F combines exceptional payload capacity and range with improved efficiency compared with earlier 747 freighters. Its opening nose and large side cargo door allow outsized freight to be handled efficiently. VQ-BLQ formed part of AirBridgeCargo's flagship 747-8F fleet before the carrier's international operations were severely curtailed in 2022.
