Boeing 747-8KZF, serial number 36137, entered service with Nippon Cargo Airlines as JA12KZ. Originally built as N50217 and used in Boeing's 747-8F flight-test program, the aircraft was refurbished before delivery to NCA in January 2013. Powered by four General Electric GEnx-2B engines, the 747-8F combines enormous payload capability with intercontinental range and improved efficiency over earlier 747 freighters. JA12KZ operates worldwide cargo services from Tokyo Narita to major freight centers across Asia, Europe, and North America and received special NCA 40th anniversary markings in 2025.
