Boeing 747-412, construction number 27069, was delivered to Singapore Airlines as 9V-SPL in 1997. The aircraft operated long-haul routes across Asia, Europe, Australia, and North America, serving as one of the airline's flagship jets during the height of the 747-400 era. 9V-SPL featured Singapore Airlines' premium cabin products and wore the carrier's distinctive blue and gold livery. It provided reliable service for more than a decade as the fleet gradually transitioned to newer types like the 777-300ER and A380. After retirement, 9V-SPL was withdrawn from service and eventually parted out, marking the end of its operational career.
Designed as a large capacity airliner and freight hauler, the 747 was first flown on February 9th, 1969. © Copyright 2003-2025 The Flying Mule, Inc.
