Boeing 747-100   7"   6"

Boeing 747-121, entered service with Pan American World Airways as N742PA in March 1970. One of Pan Am's earliest Jumbo Jets, the aircraft was initially named "Clipper Rainbow" and later "Clipper Neptune's Car." It joined the airline only weeks after Pan Am inaugurated scheduled Boeing 747 service and operated long haul routes connecting the United States with Europe, Asia, and other international destinations. Powered by four Pratt & Whitney JT9D engines, N742PA represented a dramatic increase in passenger capacity and helped transform international air travel. The aircraft was eventually withdrawn and broken up at Ardmore, Oklahoma, in 1995.
