A-20G "Hell'n Pelican II" was a Douglas A-20 Havoc attack aircraft operating in the Southwest Pacific Theater during WWII. The 388th Bombardment Squadron conducted low-level bombing and strafing missions against Japanese forces. On April 16th, 1944, the aircraft crash landed on Papau New Guinea. The wreckage remained there for more than forty years before being recovered by Chinook helicopter and transported to the Royal Australian Air Force Heritage Museum at RAAF Amberley. After restoration, it was put on display at the museum where it can still be viewed today.

The Hobby Master 1:72 scale A-20 Havoc family recreates the versatile twin-engine attack bomber in several variants, including the A-20G, A-20K, Boston Mk.IV and Boston Mk.V. Noticeable differences include the solid gun nose of the A-20G and the glazed bombardier nose found on bomber versions. Functional features include spinning propellers, a rotating dorsal gun turret and interchangeable extended or retracted landing gear for ground or in-flight display. The canopy can be removed to install the included crew figures, and a display stand is provided. Heavy die-cast construction, detailed engines, cockpit, gun positions and surface features give the A-20 excellent display presence.
