Herbert Kutscha was a Luftwaffe pilot during World War II. Born on May 30, 1917, he joined the German Air Force and became a skilled fighter pilot. Kutscha flew numerous combat missions and achieved significant success, earning recognition for his bravery and skill. He was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross, one of the highest honors for German soldiers. Kutscha's dedication and achievements made him a notable figure among Luftwaffe pilots. After the war, like many of his peers, his life shifted away from military aviation. Herbert Kutscha passed away on March 15, 2003.

Messerschmitt Bf 110E

Designed to meet a Luftwaffe requirement for a long range, multipurpose fighter, the Bf-110 was first flown on May 12th, 1936. Fast and well-armed, the Bf-110 lacked maneuverability-a flaw that became glaringly obvious during the battle of Britain, when Bf-110s suffered heavy losses and were withdrawn from battle. Redesigned Bf-110s were equipped with radar and enjoyed great success as night fighters, eventually becoming the Luftwaffe's primary aircraft in that role. Most of Germany's night fighter aces flew the Bf-110 at least once, and some of them-including top German night fighter ace Heinz-Wolfgang Schnaufer-flew it exclusively.

Hobby Master's 1:72 scale Messerschmitt Bf 110 is an example of a well-crafted, quality model. It has a large bird-cage canopy that is removable, revealing pad-printed dials and gauges and rear gunner's position fitted with twin defensive machine guns. The top port of the engine nacelles is seamlessly blended with the radiators under each wing. There is a removable under-wing mounted fuel tank, twin rocket tubes on each wing and counter-balance weights separately attached to each aileron. A variety of weapons configurations such as center mounted bombs, nose- and center- mounted machine guns are included. The series includes night-fighter variants with nose-mounted radar antenna.
