The Belgian Air Component (formerly known as the Belgian Air Force) is the air arm of the Belgian Armed Forces. It was founded in 1909 and is one of the world's oldest air services. Before flying the force's F-16, pilots must first complete an instructional course with the Alpha Jet at the component's Advanced Jet Training center based in Cazaux, France.
Designed as part of a Franco-West German study for an advanced trainer, the Alpha Jet was first flown on November 4th, 1977. © Copyright 2003-2024 The Flying Mule, Inc.
