Following the slogan "Live your visions", the city of Friedrichshafen and today's Zeppelin Company celebrate the 175th anniversary of Count Ferdinand von Zeppelin. To commemorate the occasion, one of today's airships will receive a special color scheme with a portrait of the famous airship builder, as well as the logo of the Leibinger Brewery, which is a major supporter of the many events taking place throughout the year.
Designed as a commercial airship, the Zeppelin NT (Neue Technologie) was first flown in September 1997. The semi-rigid design differs considerably from the early Zeppelin rigid airships and the modern non-rigid blimps. By making extensive use of modern construction materials, the NT is very lightweight yet extremely strong. © Copyright 2003-2024 The Flying Mule, Inc.
