Boeing Poseidon MRA Mk 1, serial number 66110, operated by the Royal Air Force as ZP806 and associated with No. 201 Squadron. Based on the Boeing P-8A Poseidon and 737-800ERX airframe, the aircraft performs maritime patrol, anti-submarine warfare, anti-surface warfare, surveillance, and search-and-rescue support. Equipped with advanced radar, acoustic processing equipment, sonobuoys, communications systems, and weapons capability, ZP806 helps protect UK waters and supports NATO maritime operations. The Poseidon restored a dedicated RAF maritime patrol capability after the retirement of the Nimrod MR2 and cancellation of the Nimrod MRA4, operating primarily from RAF Lossiemouth in Scotland.

Boeing Poseidon MRA Mk 1

Designed as an anti-submarine warfare (ASW) aircraft to replace the P-3 Orion, the P-8 Poseidon was first flown on April 25th, 2009. The aircraft is based on the 737-800 airliner.
