COBUS 3000 airport passenger bus operated in US Airways markings. Although not an aircraft, the COBUS 3000 is a purpose-built apron bus designed to transport passengers between airport terminals and aircraft parked at remote stands. Its unusually wide body, low floor, large doors, and high standing capacity allow passengers to board and disembark quickly during busy airline operations. US Airways-branded examples supported ground operations where jet bridges were unavailable or impractical. The COBUS 3000 has become one of the world's most recognizable airport buses and remains widely used by airlines, airports, and ground-handling companies around the world.
