Boeing 757-251, operated by Northwest Airlines as N534US. The twin-engine narrowbody became an important part of Northwest's domestic and transcontinental fleet, combining excellent runway performance, useful range, and substantial passenger capacity. Powered by two Pratt & Whitney PW2000-series engines, the 757 was well suited to services from Northwest hubs including Minneapolis/St. Paul, Detroit, and Memphis. N534US later became part of Delta Air Lines following the 2008 Northwest-Delta merger. The durable 757 continued flying for Delta for many years, demonstrating the type's exceptional versatility on everything from short domestic sectors to longer transcontinental and leisure routes.

Please note: An optional display stand is available separately if you wish to display this model "in-flight".

Boeing 757-200

Designed as a narrow-bodied, twin-engined airliner to replace the 727, the 757 was first flown on February 19th, 1982. Developed in tandem with the wide-bodied 767 twinjet, both aircraft share a common digital cockpit layout and are operated by a two man flight crew. Thanks to a proven reliability track-record, the 757 is approved for extended twin engine operations (ETOPS) making it a popular choice for airlines flying transatlantic routes. A total of 1050 aircraft were built before production ceased in 2004, however many airframes have since been retrofitted with drag-reducing blended winglets to help improve fuel economy.
