Boeing 717-200, operated by Midwest Airlines as N920ME. The twin-engine jet became closely associated with the Milwaukee-based carrier and its reputation for a premium passenger experience. Powered by two Rolls-Royce BR715 engines, the 717 offered efficient short and medium-haul performance, quick turnaround times, and approximately 100-seat capacity. Midwest configured its aircraft with unusually spacious seating and became famous for freshly baked chocolate-chip cookies served onboard. N920ME operated routes from Milwaukee and other cities throughout the United States. The 717 fleet later passed through successor operations as Midwest disappeared, but the aircraft remains strongly identified with the airline's distinctive service.
