Boeing 737-8H6, operated by Malaysia Airlines as 9M-MXS. The aircraft is part of the Malaysian flag carrier's large 737-800 fleet and serves domestic and regional international routes from Kuala Lumpur and other bases. Powered by two CFM International CFM56-7B engines, 9M-MXS combines dependable performance, useful range, and efficient narrowbody capacity. Malaysia Airlines deploys the type throughout Southeast Asia and on high-frequency domestic services linking Peninsular Malaysia with Sabah and Sarawak. The 737-800 has been a backbone of the airline's short and medium-haul operation and is progressively being complemented by newer Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft.
